Building Tomorrow's Roads
Introducing T&B's "Road Gang"
From the first paved road in Babylon (approximately 625 - 604 B.C.) to the latest street improvement project in your neighborhood, civil engineers like those at Taliaferro & Browne, Inc. (T&B) have grappled with the challenges of building roads to move people, livestock, and goods from one place to another. They've struggled to balance cost, material durability in extreme weather conditions, property constraints, and access to neighborhoods and businesses during construction. They've worked to ensure that drainage systems adequately mitigate flooding risks. Today, we're all working to make the best investments possible to rebuild our nation's infrastructure - especially the roadway systems that keep our economy moving.

At T&B, we're proud of our seasoned team of road builders: engineers with the experience base and knowledge to effectively and efficiently solve any road design challenge. This "road gang" represents over 130 years of cumulative professional experience designing roads and bridges to meet the KC Metropolitan Area's ever-growing needs. Having worked together on numerous projects, this team brings a "hit-the-ground-running" kind of synergy to each and every project. Key "road gang" members include professional engineers Richard Montgomery, Dave Brackey, Allen Kimbrell, Patty Yang, and Lamin Nyang.

In the past few years, T&B's "road gang" has successfully completed a number of key improvement projects throughout the Kansas City Metro area, including:
- Improvements to Hickman Mills Drive and Longview Road
(as part of the Grandview Triangle project) - Shoal Creek Parkway
- Riverfront Park
- West Raytown Road Alignment
- North Amity Avenue
Working together as a team, T&B's "road gang" has completed several key projects in our area in recent years. These roads now keep pace with the area's growth and promote development and urban revitalization for the areas they serve.
